My thoughts on NetEnt slots

We all know Netent through all the games they have created for us to play at countless online casinos. For me the games from Netent has always been attractive to the eye with that clean, professional look. When i first started playing slots i put my trust in these games and they were my favorite provider by far. In later times I have come to avoid NetEnt. It just doesn’t bring me the same excitement as other slots do. I still believe it’s widely popular choice for gamblers but not as it used to be.

Competition & popularity

Lately we’ve seen a lot of upcomers in the iGaming business. Hence the competition is greater for the providers and the selection is better for us players. The NetEnt stock has been on a fall lately and I can see why. NetEnt would not even make my top 10 list of providers as it stands now and I think many others feel the same.

My stand on NetEnt slots

It is my personal opinion that the variance is the problem with the NetEnt slots. More and more providers has started to discover the trend of massive potential slots. Just look at Pragmatic and Blueprint with their games such as Da Vinci’s Treasure, Napoleon and Peking luck. Even Quickspin with their history of low volatile slots has now created a few bangers with the potential of super big wins. Look back 1 year on the games they created and you’ll see a big difference. So I wonder when is NetEnt joining them on this trend. Maybe something is stopping them from doing more volatile slots. I honestly don’t know.

Vikings – same problem or breaktrough?

I saw a commercial for a new NetEnt game the last week. It’s a branded game called Vikings from the popular TV-series about Ragnar Lodbrok. From the first glance at it it looks absolutely amazing. The sounds and animations make it really appealing for the eye. But the question remains – is this going to be yet another low volatile slot from netent? I haven’t seen any information about the RTP or potential yet but from the trailer clip on NetEnt’s youtube they showcase an almost 300x bonus. And by looking at the hits it seem to have a lot more potential than that. Word is that the release will happen in the end of October and I’m actually really excited to play this slot.
